e911 Emergency Response Operations Center Solutions

  • Remotely-Managed, Highly-Available, Hardened Data Security.
  • High Resolution, Low-Power, Quad Monitor Zero Client Solutions.
  • Ergonomically Superior for Hectic Environments & Better Desktop Utilization

Overview

Workstation reliability, ease of management and speed of incident recovery is why some of the world’s largest E911 centers and command and control centers rely on ClearCube Blade Workstations. With the industry's best reliability and the ability to switch to a hot spare blade workstation in less than 5 minutes the cities of Atlanta, London and Ontario ensure their E911 operations are ready and operational when they're needed most. ClearCube Blade PC Workstations drive multiple monitors and enable mission critical applications like CAD and RMS.

Top reasons to consider ClearCube:

ClearCube offers a wide array of zero clients to choose from - dual and quad monitor configurations designed with the needs of a dispatcher in mind. That means the performance and reliability of the dedicated Blade PCs will be there when fast reaction time is critical.

By replacing desktop PCs with ClearCube Zero Clients, over 94% of the heat and noise is eliminated from the work environment. In addition, ClearCube Zero Clients utilize only 15 watts of energy which significantly improves the energy efficiency of emergency operations centers.

ClearCube Blade PCs are centrally located for better management, quick service restoration, and secure, tamper-resistent operations.

Testimonial

“After seeing the blades in action, we knew they were what we wanted. Blades are more resilient and just a better solution overall. The fact that we didn’t have to replace the entire infrastructure was very attractive.”

“PCs overheating may seem innocuous, but in mission-critical situations, anything that causes downtime is unacceptable. By putting the blades in a controlled environment like the data center, we can ensure they have proper cooling and don’t overheat.”

Centralizing the blades in a remote data center also hardens data and asset security. “We like the fact that we can lock the Blades away, and only support personnel has access to them. ClearCube blade solution has cured three ills for us: desktop PC failure, information security breaches and environmental issues.”

Aled Williams,
IT Services Manager Dyfed-Powys Police

Planning to Succeed with SMART Failover

Right from the start, the project was very focused, “WE WILL BE READY!”
New York City Fire Department Chief
Salvatore Cassano

NYFD’s existing facility was over capacity, noisy, cramped, stressful, and requiring lots of mandatory overtime to maintain operations. A general sense pervaded that the system was stretched beyond its design and reliability was not assured.

The administrators had determined they wanted overflow capacity in a different location with built-in resiliency, five 9s up-time, enhanced security, and the ability to respond immediately to overflow call volumes. They wanted plenty of room to grow with anticipated further consolidation of other groups into what is now shaping up to be a powerful cooperative fusion center with very complex communications and workflow that is continually refined through experience.

LA County Fire Department and LA County Sheriffs Department

The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) is one of the largest fire departments in the country, with 4,000 dedicated personnel responsible for fire suppression, emergency medical services, lifeguard operations, airlift rescues and additional operations. At the heart of their massive coordination efforts is the Fire Command and Control Facility (FCCF) Dispatch Center.

Less than 20 minutes up North Eastern Avenue is the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LACoSD), which also serves Los Angeles County, California and its 4,084 square miles and over nine (9) million people. It is the second largest law enforcement agency in the United States and the largest Sheriff’s Department in the world, with over 18,000 employees.

These two world class service organizations were both embarking on a technology refresh for their dispatch centers and wrestling with the budget mandate to do more with less capital investment. Fortunately, both happened to be in discovery with ClearCube at this same time too. However, they shared some common goals like increased efficiency, interoperability and planning for future growth, but each had their own specific issues.
