Tactical Operations Centers

  • Support Multiple Level Security Networks from One Desktop.
  • Instant Access to Mission-Critical, Secure Information.
  • Rapid Deployment, Easy to Pack & Redeploy Very Quickly.
  • Easy to Manage Remotely.

Overview

Tactical Operations Centers (TOC) can range from large permanent ops centers to smaller field deployments in combat zones. In life and death situations against enemy combatants, the computer equipment used in a TOC must be capable of much more than that typically found in an office environment. Because some TOCs are mobile, deployment in setting up and tearing down a site must be done quickly. Tear down might be under life-threatening conditions so the chance of leaving sensitive data on the battlefield must be eliminated. Information downloaded into the TOC may be from satellite feeds, video surveillance, mapping information or other graphically demanding applications. The systems must be powerful enough to produce real-time results without delay. ClearCube satisfies these demanding requirements with Blade PCs and ClientCube Zero Clients.

Situational Awareness

ClientCubes at the desktops significantly enhance the commanders’ and staff’s ability to effectively conduct collaborative mission planning and execution across a wide range of operations and the spectrum of conflict. ClientCube KM provides an unprecedented level of situational awareness by providing users with a single keyboard and mouse to access multiple independent levels of security. ClientCube KM includes an integrated EAL4 switching product which can be configured to display information logically from the chosen domains. The user simply moves the cursor to the persistent audio/video content of a desired network, thus maximizing awareness to all information, situations, and events within the Common Operating Environment and Command Post Computing Environment.

Top reasons to consider ClearCube:

ClientCubes contain multiple zero clients for connection to separate network sources such as NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS and others. ClientCubes are packaged to reduce the number of cable connections, power connections, number of displays and space-requirements in TOCs. This packaging efficiency allows a ClientCube to be set up or tear down in a fraction of the time it would take to connect independent components. ClientCubes have Zero Clients that contain no storage and no data. In a firefight, they can be abandoned without worry of security compromise.

ClearCube Blade PCs mounted in racks at fixed points in the TOC provide all the CPU and GPU capabilities of a standard PC, but in a small form factor (8 units in 3U) capable of tight rack mount conditions.

The combination of Blade PC’s small footprint and ClientCube Zero Clients enable operators to conduct highly mobile operations without losing any compute capabilities, while still ensuring the upmost security at the end points.

Testimonial

The largest benefit is the implementation of increased security throughout the network and a more efficient use of available technical resources. Secondarily, one of the more substantial expenses - the cost of administrator time spent replacing systems - is drastically reduced. Removing valuable equipment and volatile media from the user's work area has greatly improved our network security posture. Users now have the ability to accomplish required tasks with the same access to network resources as they had with desktop PCs, but the big difference is the security of the data. Systems cannot be booted from removable media such as CD or floppy drives”
