Firmware Design Engineer

ClearCube Technology, based in Austin, TX is the market leader in PC blade and systems software solutions providing organizations full control over end user computing. An established, fast-growing company, ClearCube has it all – bright, innovative people working on leading edge software and hardware solutions, a multitude of impressive customers and an enjoyable culture based on open communication and teamwork.  We are seeking an engineer that will apply their FW engineering in the following specific areas:

  • Architect & implement embedded software built into ClearCube’s remoting solutions.
  • Assist sustaining engineering in debugging field issues and making improvements to existing solutions.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain existing project's (embedded linux and networking software) codebase.
  • Bugfix and add features in the existing software.
  • Lead next generation embedded remoting system software architecture & design.
  • Select processors, networking technologies and implementation technologies.
  • Investigate existing market solutions and propose best design approach.
  • Develop software, maintain/modify as needed.
  • Maintain testing infrastructure lab: Perform system administrative work on several Gentoo servers.
  • Evaluate security technologies as they relate to the ClearCube Technology Products.
  • Recommend solutions to specific customer security requirements and then deploy these solutions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Aggressive engineer having excellent verbal and written communications skills with proven design and leadership capabilities willing to work in the start up environment.
  • Strong leadership ability required to work with HW, SW engineering teams and other extended team members to architect and design FW
  • BSEE degree with 7+ years of experience in FW + HW/SW Engineering.
  • MSEE degree a plus
  • Experience in Firmware design, Code Warrior, C/C++, assembly, RTOSes and working with emulators
  • Experience in developing and debugging bus interfaces such as UARTs, USB, I2C, PS2, Ethernet, 485 bus, at a low level
  • Experience in developing and debugging interfaces with high level application software.
  • Extensive experience in networking embedded software development
  • Develop SOAP, web, network and other protocol applications on an embedded Linux OS.
  • Experience in development of web servers and knowledge of networking protocols such as http, ssl, tftp, ftp, snmp, ssh, smtp
  • Familiarity with the Freescale, Cypress and Microchip microcontrollers & processors. (Coldfire, Xscale, MIPS, ARM etc.,)
  • Extensive experience in the areas of communications processors. Specifically in the PowerPC & ARM architectures.
  • Familiarity with VMware View, PCoIP, Remote-FX, Citrix and other remoting protocols is a plus




Manufacturing Project Engineer

ClearCube is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with Manufacturing Engineering experience in support of ClearCube NPI Engineering Operations. Manage large to small NPI projects in the electro-mechanical enclosure/sheet metal operations and provide manufacturing engineering expertise for electro-mechanical enclosure/sheet metal manufacture. Provide guidance and liaison support in new product development, release and introduction to Manufacturing. Work with ClearCube Engineering Development, Systems Integration Test/Quality Control, Manufacturing Test/Burn-In and manufacturing floor to ensure projects meet ClearCube requirements and standards. Determine product structures, manufacturing sequence/methodology, product cost standards and assembly/test procedures for projects assigned. Assist manufacturing in optimizing production flow and resolving production problems.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiates and manages NPI project product structures, local MRP part setup, bom setup, releases new production builds to manufacturing.
  • Develops and maintains production operations instructions and part manufacturing methodology for project assigned.
  • Identifies tooling requirements for project and initiates purchase.
  • Maintain product cost standards.
  • Provides technical support to Manufacturing, assists in identification and resolution of production problems. Recommends production layout and develops tooling jigs and fixtures to optimize production flow and product cost.
  • Manages customer changes to project, Initiates and/or reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for the manufacturing organization.
  • May train production personnel in new methods.
  • May provide accountability of manufacturing issues.
  • Provide DFM support of new products.
  • May assist Manufacturing operations in facilities management and maintenance.
  • Initiate and support process improvement projects.
  • Support the Quality System and Quality Policy by following procedures / work instructions and creating records to meet the requirements of the Quality System Requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with five plus years related experience.
  • May substitute Engineering Degree with minimum 5+ years’ experience as Manufacturing Engineer in the Sheet metal Enclosure industry.
  • Experience with Agile
  • Experience with 3D modeling software, ProE.
  • Written and verbal communication, conflict management, professionalism and customer service skills are a must.

PREFERRED Qualifications (nice to have skills):

  • Experience in Sheet metal/Enclosure manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with initializing and maintaining part/bom configuration in MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience with Hard tool manufacturing operations/methodology.
  • Experience with Electronics assembly/integration in a CM environment.



Agile Administrator / Document Control Specialist

ClearCube Technology is seeking an experienced Agile PLM Administrator and configuration management professional with disciplines in Document Control.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Agile workflow administration for ClearCube
  • Provide training to ClearCube cross functional employees on general change management processes and Agile PLM functionality
  • Assist users with troubleshooting the Agile User Interface and adherence to change management procedures
  • Author, revise, review, and release Agile policies, procedures, and work instructions for ClearCube cross functional teams
  • Represent ClearCube users and serve as Core team member on all Agile enhancements and release projects. Perform Business/User Acceptance testing.
  • Analyze, process and track ECR, ECO, MCO submissions to minimize processing time between submission and implementation, optimizing department throughput
  • Interface with all necessary individuals in supporting departments in order to accurately process changes and structure new products
  • Drive timely part setup, BOM releases, BOM changes to support new product introduction as well sustaining business globally
  • Catalyst for new and sustaining product release process creation and improvement (Ease of Use, Cycle Time, data analysis efficiencies)
  • Analyze problems of diverse scope to identify solutions
  • System and data accountability and governance

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience in product data management, document control or similar function
  • Previous Agile PLM 9.x Administrator experience
  • Expertise in BOM management / configuration management
  • PDM/PLM/ERP System Implementation and Enhancement expertise
  • Problem solving skills, demonstrating good judgment in identifying methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Adept in prioritizing work and coordinating tasks
  • Ability to resolve issues using analytical tools
  • Understanding of post-sales service business
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, QuickBooks Enterprise, All Orders or Equivalent MRP/ERP System, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong track record of producing analytic insight that has led to significant improvements



Federal Account Executive

The Account Executive is a Federal sales executive responsible for leading a ClearCube solutions sale utilizing appropriate resources as needed. This includes selling through any one of channel partners and working directly with accounts. The Account Executive will have geographic territory with some existing accounts and partners as well as assigned agencies. The Account Executive is responsible for selling all products, services and solutions offered by ClearCube through indirect channels. The AE reports to the VP of Worldwide Sales.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The AE's main external contact is with partners and end users. The AE will spend 80% of available time in the pursuit of opportunities by having daily contact with existing partners and accounts.
  • Complete account plan documents for every focus partner in the territory and coordinate the overall execution of the plan.
  • Perform up to assigned quota for his/her assigned territory, and provide regular forecasts of current and pipeline opportunities
  • Establish solid relationships at all levels within partners & accounts in assigned territory and leverage partners to ultimately achieve better account control than competition, and manage the channel partner relationships
  • Must have strong communication and decision making skills in order to coordinate activities with multiple partners and internal organizations.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the proposals submitted including the overall structure of the deal and the pricing of the opportunity (as per any price approval guidelines).
  • Contact, qualify and close new accounts while you maintain and expand sales in existing accounts.
  • Assist in scheduled Federal shows. Help organize and run account specific shows as necessary to drive interest in CCT products and services.


Requirements:

  • Proven ability to sell PC Blades & Centralized Solutions for high tech customers including SW & HW using effective relationship building. Effective time management and ROI analysis to meet sales quotas. Financial skills in deal structuring including TCO analyses and leasing with the ability to forecast sales trends. Must be able to function independently with minimal supervision. Demonstration of success in large account management and quota achievement. Ability to influence. Detailed knowledge of Government budgets, procurement cycles and bid processes.
  • Must possess strong prospecting account management and closing skills including: knowledge of local business organizational structure, experience successfully gaining access to decision makes, selling into technical user base & C-level, uncovering buying influences, overcoming customer objections and purchasing processes.


Miniumum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as a sales executive in an IT environment. Technical Product knowledge on HW & SW. Business knowledge with focus on selling solutions for High Tech customers Effective presentation skills. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Federal government account management and sales Understanding of US Civilian and Intelligence space (DOD is preferred)
  • Security Clearance is a plus, either current or former
