AUSTIN Texas, May 19, 2011 -- ClearCube Technology, the leader in zero clients for cloud computing, rack mounted secure workstations and blade PCs, today announced 50 percent revenue growth in Q1 2011, versus the same quarter of 2010. ClearCube has also achieved 13 consecutive quarters of profitability and continues to see increasingly strong demand for its virtual and centralized computing solutions.
“I am extremely pleased to announce that we have experienced significant growth in Q1 across the majority of our customer segments. It is very apparent that broad adoption of our virtual desktop products in conjunction with VMware is also driving demand for our blade workstations,” said Randy Printz, CEO, ClearCube Technology. “In today’s environment, virtual desktops don’t always meet the needs of power users. Therefore, IT organizations are embracing the concept of moving the desktop to the datacenter with our blade workstations complimenting the virtual desktop infrastructure and delivering the horsepower required by their power users.”
In addition to manufacturing blade PCs and workstations, ClearCube manufactures a comprehensive line of VMware Ready zero clients that seamlessly connect to VMware View virtual desktops. “Last year we participated in several virtual desktop trials and proof of concept testing with customers,” said Printz. “The company is now benefiting from these test pilots and are now implementing large scale deployments with thousands VMware View seats and ClearCube zero clients.”
This year, ClearCube has also grown its channel program and signed four strategic reseller partnerships with technology distributors in the United States, Scandinavia and Russia:
The benefits of ClearCube’s PC blade and zero client architecture are extensive and include:
According to a study by a leading analyst firm in 2010, these benefits result in an average return on investment of 450% with payback in 6.17 months.
“For any organization, it can be a significant cultural shift to move from distributed desktops to a centralized computing model. However, more and more organizations are finding that ‘clearing the cube’ of traditional desktops and replacing them with virtual desktops or blade workstations eliminates the expense of maintaining distributed computing resources, which pays back in a very short timeframe,” said Printz.
