Ideal Hardware Environment
By housing the computing hardware in a secure location (e.g., data center), assets are not exposed to environmental factors (dirt, dust, etc.) or accidental user damage. Proper electrical UPS also prevents loss of data.
Active Health Monitoring
Sentral™ software monitors all hardware components in real-time and can send email or mobile alerts to IT staff before failure. IT administrators can set up alerts that monitor free memory, free virtual memory, blade voltage, processor fan speed, free disk space and installed applications. Certain alerts can even be triggered out-of-band, meaning that the software can send out alerts even when the blade is not responding or powered down.
Instant User Reallocation
In the event of a failure, IT administrators can use the Sentral™ management software to remotely reallocate users to a spare blade in minutes. The IT administrator can then perform repairs as needed without disrupting the end user or delaying productivity.
Remote Deployment Management
The Sentral™ management software enables IT personnel to perform repairs, install software, upgrade BIOS and re-image blades directly from the IT console. Even when technicians must physically touch every blade for memory upgrades or hard drive replacements, they can do so directly in the data center.
