Hardened Physical Security
Since all computing hardware (including the disk drive) is "locked down" in a central location, only authorized personnel can access the blades. Furthermore, IT administrators can manage the entire deployment from their consoles using Sentral™ software. IT personnel do not need to enter high security areas, and organizations do not need to issue additional security clearances.
Hardened Data Security
All data and applications are stored and run directly on the blades. The user-facing access device (user port) that connects computing peripherals to the blade contains no data. Furthermore, IT administrators can "lock out" users from attaching mass storage devices (i.e., USB flash drives) to the user ports. For environments requiring ultra-security or zero electromagnetic emissions, ClearCube offers a user port that connects to blades over point-to-point fiber optic cable.
Hardened Network Security
With cable and fiber user ports, organizations can prevent end users from accessing the IT network through desktop Ethernet ports. For organizations requiring secure multi-network access, an end user can work with multiple blades that are housed in separate racks. To access the blades, the user simply switches between small user ports that are stacked on the desk like paperback books.
