PC Industry Veteran Pat Gallagher Joins ClearCube Technology as VP Government Sales

Austin, TX (July 7, 2003) - ClearCube Technology, Inc., the market leader in PC blade computing, today announced that Pat Gallagher has joined the company as Vice President of Government Sales. Mr. Gallagher has 30 years of experience in selling and developing government technology solutions, having worked with Zenith Data Systems, Compaq and most recently, HP. He will be responsible for spearheading and managing ClearCube’s rapid growth in the federal government sector.

“In recent years ClearCube has seen a dramatic increase in its federal sales as the needs and buying habits of the federal government continue to evolve and change, focusing more on security and 24 by 7 computational power,” said Mike Frost, president and CEO of ClearCube Technology. “Pat was the obvious choice to head our government sales force, as he has a proven track record of success and brings the technical knowledge needed to work with the requirements of both federal and civilian agencies.”

In his new role, Gallagher will drive sales efforts of the ClearCube PC blade solution by leveraging relationships with key government agencies, with large numbers of information workers, like the IRS, the Department of Defense (including Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps.) and the Social Security Administration, to name just a few. Gallagher brings with him a great understanding of the unique needs of government computing, including the global and continuously changing nature of its mission; a 24 by 7 IT environment; constant need for increased computational power; security while operating with limited budgets and manpower.

“I’ve spent three decades selling technology to the government. The ClearCube solution marks the first real desktop innovation that I have seen in years, and I am very excited to be joining their team,” said Gallagher. “ClearCube is the first to offer a dual use desktop computing architecture that runs 24x7, acting both as a user desktop and when idle as part of a cluster or server farm. Innovations like this are why we are seeing such rapid growth in the federal sector.”

Government agencies in particular can benefit from the increased security that is provided when the entire computer architecture is centrally located and managed. ClearCube takes the computer off the user’s desk, shrinks it into a PC blade and rack mounts it in a centralized and secure location. The ClearCube Management Suite enables a “touchless IT” environment where IT managers can remotely switch, manage, backup and control global PC blade deployments from a centralized location. The result is a completely secure computing system that provides 99.9% uptime and a 30% reduction in desktop operating costs.
