ClearCube launches India Operations Introduces revolutionary PC blade solutions Mumbai, 16th February, 2005 – ClearCube Technology, the global market leader and pioneer in PC Blades, today announced its entry into the Indian market. ClearCube has set up its India representative office in Mumbai. It is in the process of putting its channel partnerships in place. Commenting on the India launch, Raj Shah, Global Chief Marketing Officer ClearCube said, "We hope to secure channel partners in India with vertical expertise in Financial Services, Manufacturing, BPO and Healthcare in the first year. We believe that these sectors would be the first adopters of PC Blades in the country with the highest benefit for early adoption. We expect PC Blades to replace regular PCs with the tremendous benefit it offers over it in terms of efficiencies in uptime, security, manageability and lowering of support costs to the enterprise." IDC predicts that by 2008 the PC Blade market will exceed 6.5 million units or $13 billion US. Mr.Shah, continued, "We are focusing on metro markets in our first year here. India is one of the largest potential markets for PCs with significant projected growth in the coming years. We are confident of converting a significant portion of this growth in favour of PC Blades given its superior cost benefit ratio in the two to five year timeframe." IDC recently concluded in a white paper authored by Roger Kay, the Vice President of Client Computing that "Blade clients, in addition to providing significant increases in security, availability, and manageability, can reduce desktop operating costs by 40% based on customer analysis." And that "Companies with high requirements for serviceability, security, availability, or low-noise environments should consider a blade client solution for at least a part of their end-user computing needs."
