| 7-14-2003 Austin, TX (July 14, 2003) - ClearCube Technology, the market leader in PC blade desktop computing, today announced that Lackland Air Force base deployed 200 of its PC blades. The technology was implemented at the Headquarters Air Force Security Forces Center (HQ AFSFC) at the Base, which supports Air Force Security Forces. The Center anticipates that using the ClearCube blades will provide increased security while reducing both system downtime and administrator time by two-thirds. “The consolidation of personal systems to a central location means our administrators spend significantly less time traveling from desk to desk to assist with user issues,” said Richard Johnsen, Senior Network Engineer for the Security Forces Center. “Removing valuable equipment and volatile media from the user’s individual work area has greatly improved our network security posture.” The HQ AFSFC replaced its existing desktop systems with PC blades, the majority of which are used for processing classified information on a secure network. The Center had been using a mixture of several PC systems from different manufacturers and administrators spent countless hours providing intensive, hands-on PC support. “Securing multiple networks to the desktop, accounting for desktop space requirements and trying to manage all these devices is a complex issue for government agencies and bases like Lackland AFB,” said Mike Frost president and CEO of ClearCube Technology. “ClearCube is the only company that can provide the unique value proposition of meeting network security needs, decreasing desktop space while providing the ability to remotely manage and switch these computers from anywhere in the world.” ClearCube has government installations at various military and state-level
organizations including, NORAD, Hill Air Force base and Nellis Air Force
Base. About ClearCube Technology For More Information Contact: Ken Knotts Maureen Robusto |
