Lenovo to Deliver Innovative ClearCube PC Blades Across EMEA ClearCube PC Blades to Help Extend Secure Centralized Desktop Computing to Lenovo Customers Paris, France -September 19 2006- Lenovo and ClearCube Technology, the market leader in centralized computing solutions, today announced the expansion of its existing partnership to advance the delivery of centralized computing solutions in Europe. Initially launched in the US, customers in the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands and Sweden will be able to reap the benefits of PC Blade computing. PC blades provide users with desktop functionality from a centralised environment, an approach that can save time, space and money. ClearCube enables greater security and easier, more centralised remote PC management. By deploying the ClearCube solution, customers can consistently reduce downtime, deploy stronger data and physical security, and significantly decrease their total cost of ownership, while providing end users with the same PC experience they expect. The ClearCube solution enables secure wired or wireless user connections between centralized PC blades and remote access devices called User Ports. ClearCube also supports virtualized desktop computing environments enabling IT departments to increase the utilization of their compute resources without affecting the end user experience. The ClearCube solution is managed by Sentral. ClearCube Sentral is a software package that delivers unique features such as dynamic resource allocation, virtual desktop management, active health monitoring, and blade switching and sparing. Sentral also offers these benefits across platforms, with support for other vendors' blade systems and management software as well as virtualized desktops. Designed to scale from small businesses to large enterprises, ClearCube Sentral offers total control to IT departments everywhere.
