ClearCube Expands the Breadth of the Industry's Leading PC Blade Computing Solution

New Modular Chassis and Software Extend Connectivity to More Industry Standard Devices while Giving IT Managers More Control

Austin, Texas - October 31, 2005 - ClearCube Technology, the market leader and pioneer in PC Blade computing, today announced the availability of its new R4300 series chassis and ClearCube Management Suite software. The new chassis and management software give customers more flexibility for connecting PC Blades to a wider range of industry standard peripheral devices and user ports while giving IT managers unprecedented levels of asset control and reliability. These latest additions to the ClearCube line of products further demonstrate the company's ability to provide enterprise users with the most comprehensive set of secure and powerful centralized computing solutions in the market.

The new chassis is based on a modular architecture that can be configured to support both directly-connected and Ethernet-connected User Ports - small devices that sit at the user's desk and connect to their monitor, keyboard, mouse and USB peripherals. The chassis can also be configured for Ethernet-connected users only, reducing chassis costs while leveraging industry standard User Ports and virtualization technology. In this configuration, ClearCube Grid Center software, part of the ClearCube Management Suite (CMS), enables users to be dynamically allocated to the best available PC Blade. ClearCube Switch Manager, also part of CMS, gives IT administrators full control over the new chassis with features such as hardware remote control of PC Blades, hot spare switching, and status monitoring.

"Enterprises from a broad range of industries including financial services, government, and healthcare have chosen to deploy the ClearCube solution because of the flexibility and scalability that our products provide," said Carl Boisvert, president and chief executive officer, ClearCube Technology. "As our customers' computing needs expand, they're looking to take full advantage of these capabilities by using our software to manage both dedicated and virtualized PC blade environments. Our new modular chassis features a uniquely flexible design that simplifies the support of these types of deployments."

The new chassis architecture also features multiple levels of redundancy that enable end-user uptimes exceeding 99.99%. Dual AC inputs, automatic variable speed fans, redundant hot-swappable power supplies, and redundant hot-swappable management modules all serve to deliver unprecedented levels of reliability for PC blade computing. The modular design of these components is backwards compatible with previous-generation equipment, enabling existing customers to upgrade their current chassis without having to remove the chassis or PC blades from the racks in which they are installed today.

In addition to the redundancy features and the configurable bays for connectivity, management, and networking, the R4300 series chassis also includes local USB 2.0 ports for connecting to industry standard peripherals such as TV tuners. These types of peripheral devices can now be centrally located and managed away from the users' desk which ultimately reduces support costs.

ClearCube has established a proven track record of success, having been widely adopted across multiple industries. ClearCube has thousands of customers worldwide, including leading firms and organizations such as Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Lehman Brothers, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Air Force, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the UK Ministry of Defence, Housei University, TV Asahi, Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group and Oklahoma Heart Hospital, America's first all-digital hospital.
