Telvista rolls out clearcube technology solution
for sleek end-user efficiency and security
PC Blades deliver full functional computing to workstations in new customer contact facility
DANVILLE, VIRGINA, Austin, Texas August 15, 2005 - Telvista, Inc., an innovative provider of bilingual contact center outsourcing solutions, has turned once again to ClearCube Technology, the pioneer and market leader in PC Blade technology, to streamline workstations and secure data at Telvista's brand new, state-of-the-art customer contact center in Danville, Virginia.
"Telvista needed a reliable and flexible PC solution for our new center in Danville which would serve a wide range of corporate customers, each with different IT standards, "said Alvaro Holguin, Telvista CIO. "We have witnessed how PC Blade from ClearCube have worked seamlessly and effectively in our Odessa centers, and we wanted to extend the same power, practicality and results to our Danville center."
When Telvista purchased and installed ClearCube PC Blades in the Odessa facility, one of the first benefits that became evident was the technology's reliability. With ClearCube, Telvista is able to deliver 99.9% availability and a less than 10-minute return to service, reducing downtime drastically compared to traditional PCs which average only 96 percent availability and two- to four-hour return to service.
Said Holguin, "With some customers, we invoice by the minute, and every minute of downtime means lost revenue, so downtime really impacts us. The ClearCube return-to-service factor has a major impact on our ROI."
Because PC Blades are centralized, the technology has also greatly increased security for IT equipment and data inside the Danville facility, which celebrated its grand opening on April 20, 2005.
The center is expected to handle hundreds of thousands of customer contacts per year via phone, email, chat, and Interactive Voice Response. VistaStats™, the Six-Sigma based quality methodology in use elsewhere at Telvista, will be used and refined to continually improve the efficiency and quality of these customer contacts in Danville.
"It is always exciting to see customers like Telvista continue to roll out the ClearCube product as they expand their own presence in the marketplace," said Carl Boisvert, president and CEO of ClearCube. "Telvista's desire to outfit an entire call center with our PC Blades serves as a real proof-point to the benefits the technology is providing facilities like this one."
While increasing security and reliability, the PC Blade box also increases available space on users' desktops. About the size of a VHS tape, these user ports can connect external devices if the IT manager allows access, but also ensures that users cannot walk off with any sensitive data. ClearCube also reduces heat and noise on the call center floor and keeps PC blades secure in the locked data center.
In addition to the new PC Blades, the new Danville facility will eventually house some 500 customer contact representatives. The innovative facility is designed to maximize productivity by providing energy and comfort to those who work within its walls through its use of color and floor space, natural light, energy efficiency, and ergonomic design.
