We designed and built these devices for customers who need protocol flexibility but want more security than a standard thin client computer. Zero+ Clients® give IT the ability to lock the device down as much as desired or to open the device to allow for multiple connections and multiple protocols. Unlike some competitor models, our Zero+ Clients® do not need to be re-flashed to be repurposed or assigned a restricted connection on a new protocol. Our Zero+ Clients® work with VMWare (including Blast), Citrix, Leostream, Nutanix, and others. OS options include Windows, Linux, and IGEL. Zero+ Clients® give IT the ultimate in flexibility, allowing you to buy “future-proof” devices. Our Zero+ Clients® are also compatible with ClearCube accessories that further increase the utility and functionality of these devices.
These are the original zero clients. They utilize the TERA2 chip, allowing them to send encrypted pixels rather than actual data packets to and from the zero client to the host computer. The TERA2 chip allows this to happen on a device that has no accessible OS, memory, or storage. This provides trusted data protection, even if the device is tampered with or stolen. TERA2 chip zero clients are limited to a single connection and only operate with PCoIP as the protocol. These devices are famously reliable and easy for IT to manage.
The final production date for the TERA2 chips (affecting both TERA2 zero clients and host cards) is in early 2025. Following that production run, availability will be limited to stock on hand. TERA2 devices will be fully supported through 2028 (with updates), and the devices will continue to function beyond 2028, just without updates.
